What do better spark plugs do?
I've heard about all this bullshit how it lights ur fuel up at a higher temp and all that but i think its just a myth. Its just like the theory of Higher Octane gas. IT doesn't really improve performance...

the spark's ignition timing is more precise and immediate, on piston hit rather than with a couple of ms delay. bosch plat is good for a daily driver, but if you going into performance, denso iridium is cool. NGK is my favorite however. use whatever you'd like, the bosch plats have nice warrantly and life (100k+ miles or so) and i use those on my beater. before i sold my 280z (with rb20det) i was using NGKs and those were clean and sexy.

There have been a few issues with Iridiums actually succumbing to the stress of combustion. As you can imagine, this caused some serious problems.

Stick witih NGK or Denso's. OEM equipment (ecspecially igntition componets) is always best!

Personally i run NGK coppers gapped at .028. Copper is one of the best conductors, and draw back is frequent plug changes.

Hmm... funny, I've been running Denso Iridium for the last 50.000 Km or so on a 2nd Gen 3S-GE (CR 10.5:1) and they are as good as the day that I bought them.

I also know a couple of guys running hi boost levels with these plugs as well and still don't have a complain about them.

Nice to see you over here, Sean.
Definitely stick with NGK. I installed somne Ngk-R plugs last night, replacing my Bosch Plats, and there is a world of difference. I had not previously used them, but now I wouldn't buy anything else.
Sean, does your engine type call for .028" gap, or is that a mod?
