Question PLEASE HELP GUYS rev limiter removal

Hey guys I am super new to the boards and I am needing some help... I have a '97 Celica dirt track car... Its a 1.8l 5 speed and I am hitting the rev limiter about 50 feet before turn 3. If I could disable my rev limiter and get about 30 more feet out of 2nd gear then i could smoke the competition... Thats where ya'll come in LOL... How can I get rid of that rev limiter... Any advice or links to other information is welcome ! ! ! !

You could also try changing the diff ratio or the 2nd gear ratio.

not all about power on a dirt track, especially not with FWD and an open diff. Sit and spin comes to mind there.

Ya but thats with cars that actually have power, the 7a looses torque at 2300rpms that right there is a reason why he cant get they umpf he needs.
