WTF?!!
Why do you post an answer when you obviously don't know it.
Have you ever even looked under an RC hood?
I know I'm not being nice, but throwing out blatantly wrong answers just propogates misinformation. It's
stupid [stupid isn't neccessarily not knowing, stupid is not knowing and giving a {wrong} answer anyways].
If you don't know it, don't answer.
OR, take a lesson from Rob. He took a guess, but he was kind enough to SAY it was a guess, and that he wasn't sure.
ALL the ST185s had a alternator cooling ducts; they ran to the bottom of the engine bay, not to the hood.
There is no ducting for the IC in the hood, it's a water to air intercooler; the heat from the intake is transferred to a separate radiator in the front of the car.
The big vent in the front is to vent heat from the turbo.
The 2 vents in the rear are to vent heat from the engine bay.
The small round hole next to the bulge is to cool the timing belt cover. The homologation cars [RC/CS/Grp A] have complete functional ducting for it, not just the race cars.
FYI, the regular ST185s actually had a [different] cooling setup to cool the timing cover also, it directed air that flowed through the IC over to the cover.
