Post help me with a transmission swap
i recently dropped the transmission in my 90 celica gt. i was wondering if i could bolt up a gt-s transmission to the 2.2 engine instead, and if it is possible what the difference in performance would be. if anyone can help me with this soon i would really appreciate it. thanks, joel

i dont think that there's any difference with the tranny since they have the same engine......

I hope you checked the little metal tag on your car, and upon looking at tranny/axle info you realized that they where different, because AFAIK the GT and GT-S share the same gear box (S52 if my memory doesnt betray me)
