Gen6 Headers on a 95 Toyota Celica GT

Hello again. I am back for more advice/help. I would like to install headers on my 95 GT, but have never done this on any vehicle before. Is it just a matter of removing the old exhaust manifold, and reconnecting the new header? Any tricks, or surprises??? Also, any recommendations on brand, and or website to order from. I do not want to drop a lot of money, but do want to get at the very least a decent quality product. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, can this be done without getting under the car? I can get under the front end for oil changes, etc., but do not have access to a lift at all. Thanks in advance for any help.

The only hitch that you may find is breaking loose the old nuts. Many years and many heat cycles tend to seize the nut to the exhaust stud. I was able to remove mine without really any hassle at all by soaking them in a penetration oil (pb blaster or liquid wrench), leaving it over night, soaking them again the next morning, warming up the engine some, soaking them again, and then I tried removing them. If they dont move after this, then you may have to take a torch to them, or try heating the engine up and removing them while still very hot. Breaking an exhaust stud is not fun.

Also you will have to get underneath but just to unbolt the old manifold from the downpipe and then later to reattach. Soak these bolts as well, as I've had one shear on me before.

Well, as far as brands, I hope your not looking for anything with a name behind it...surewin headers off ebay is about as low cost as you can get. Although there are other options, but since you want to slap it in and go, your pretty much stuck with that.
As far as installation, its easy. Might have to remove the alternator as it can be in the way of a stud/nut. Crawling under, not really, depends on how long your arms are for when it comes time to unbolt the stock manifold from the down pipe. Other than that, the hardest part has already been mentioned (nuts seized on studs).
