key problem / hard with door

all of a sudden my key is getting alot hard to put in the door to unlock it, it works fine for my passenger as well as ignition. but, trying it on the drivers door i have to force push it in very hard then it snaps and comes out fine.

im guessing its the key slot of the door but does that go bad and not the ignition key slot? any one else with this problem??

Thanks

I would reccommend silicone instead of oil.
The liquid will dry out while the oil won't; so it's apt to attract dirt/debris to gum up the lock cylinder.

I've never had much luck with graphite either, once the lock is already sticking.

The best thing to do is to remove the lock cylinder from the door, spray it with PB blaster and let it sit overnight [to loosen the gunk/debris]. Spray liberally with brake clean to get rid of the oil/crap. Then soak in silocone [make sure to work the key in it] and reinstall.

Duh, I dunno why I didn't suggest that; the silicone spray works wonders on sticky windows too,...spray a shot into each window run channel, it works like a charm.
