engine swap

Hey guys ive got a 1994 st202 2ltr 3sfe manual toyota celica. I want to know what i would be getting myself into if i swapped the engine for a 3sgte engine? Is this going to be a lot of work? I have no mechanical experience but i have a mate who owns a very good garage who could do it for me (he would still charge though).

How much could this cost me? Not including insurance. I live in the uk by the way. I really like the celica but if i could get a celica with a 3sgte engine for cheaper than a gt4 that would be great!

Is it worth it? Should i just buy a gt4?

id get the gt4 if you can get your hands on one (only seen one in my neck of the woods), id much rather have that than swap or even better a supra

No clue what it would cost, you'd have to do the research.
I would assume at least 10 hours labor, maybe more, plus parts.
It depends which version 3SGTE you put in also.

At least the engine will mechanically bolt in relatively easy.

I'd rather have the ST205 myself, but the swap will be cheaper, and quicker [if you get a gen III/IV 3SGTE vs a stock ST205].
But you also lose out on the AWD/chassis.
