5fse Rough Start up and sometime stall

HI, I was wondering if anyone know why my car sometime start up really bad and even stall when the RPM drops down to 0.... This usually happens on a cold start up.

Any suggestion on what I should do?

Start with checking the ignition system.

Check for a diagnostic code.

There aren't many codes that will appear without a check engine light as well:

Also, fuel system and filter, and depending on how long the rough idle lasts and depending on if you have any white smoke and coolant or oil usage, head gasket could be a culprit - heat will expand them to solve the problem after a few minutes.

They're the ones that come immediately to mind.

I have the same problem on my 5sfe camry. I will look more into it in about 1 month. but my celica 5sfe had that problem too and i solved it by changing the o2 sensor ( but the engine ignores the o2 sensor on startup). and my readjusting the tps sensor. The ignition system usually is the first suspect. to be sure, spray water on the wires, if the rpms drop or engines stall, you know the wires are fried. then open up the cap, inspect, and also the spark plugs.
the camry has about 1000Km on the rebuilt engine so i know compression is not the issue, but you should look at that if it has a lot of miles. low compression will raise as the engine warms thus ''solving'' the problem.
vacuum is also a common suspect, a vacuum gauge is very cheap to buy. a low vacuum will really screw up engine idle and other functions.
