Engine swap and compatibility, HELP!!!

I have a 1995 toyota celica ST that recently threw 2 rods through the block. I removed the motor, and before I replaced it I'm interested in a more powerful engine. What changes would I have to make, for example transmission, CPU, mounts, ect... In order to install a 2.2l engine from the GT model? My previous engine was the 1.8l 4cyl 16v. Please help, thanks!

Pretty much all you just listed lol.

You'll need a longblock 5S-FE (engine, tranny, cpu) and the pass side fender mount. I think the front and rear mounts are the same, but the pass one is different. I can check on Tues when I work next, or someone on here might be able to help better.

If you're going to go that far, why not swap in a better engine all together and try to get a 3S-GTE? Or are you just interested in cheap and easy?
