fog lamp lens "repair" ??

have a 99 celica vert with a badly cracked foglamp lens. i know the OEM ones are VERY expensive. the lens is pretty much intact although it does have a sliver of glass missing from the very bottome of the lens. i was thinking of getting some "shoe goo" or some other clear (i guess it doesn't have to be clear tho) adhesive and kind of "build" back in that void. the bulb and all works, and the bulk of the glass is there, i would just like to seal the lens again. any other ideas that don't require dropping a bundle ??
