RA28 common problems

Hey guys I am going to be buying a 77 Celica RA28 and I want to know what are some common problems I should look out for? Or at least a website that lists it.
Thanks in advance.

Things to look for:
- tailgate rusted at the lower end (top side near glass and underneath)
- sills rusted
- worn mechanicals (all easily replaced or upgraded)
- faded/cracked interior trim (especially dashpad, all trim is like hen's teeth)

The car is so simple (nothing complicated to breakdown) but sheer age in the Aussie sun really works against it.

Which part of Oz are you in.
I'm in Perth, WA.

Here's a link to my Toyota site - concentrating on RWD Celicas.

Thanks man.
I know they are simple, that is why i am going for them. That and they look fucking boss.
When you say worm mechanicals do you mean like the brake and throttle mechanicals?
Will definantly check out that website.

After 34 years, just about every mechanical part will be worn out if it hasn't been replaced.
Shocks, brake discs, drums, pads, gearbox rear seal, engine crank seals, piston rings, valve stem seals, perished rubber hoses (especially the 5 small hoses connecting the de-aerator to the fuel tank) and many more.
It's not a real problem as practically everything can be easily replaced or upgraded but it can be a surprise if you aren't aware of it.

Where abouts are you?
And more importantly - dijyabringatinny!
