tranny swap auto - manual

Hello
looking for some help in doing tranny swap.
My 89 gts has auto tranny with ect.
looking for 88-89 celica with the s53 manual tranny
any info someone could pass on would be helpful

i did the swap on my 88 gt. it didnt have ect though. it was really simple for everything. all i had to mod was the neutral start switch. 2 wires to the clutch switch. the other 2 to the reverse switch on the tranny. pretty basic stuff. of course, you are gonna need all the linkages and shifter...find someone that knows what they are doing to pop a hole in the firewall for the clutch master cyl. its a pain in the arse. for me, that was the hardest part of the whole swap.

did u get the s53 tranny in your swap?

whats the difference now in your car with the manual?
