Elise ecu in a Celica?

Ok, since the US market Lotus Elise uses a 2zzge w/ a Lotus tuned ecu. Would it be possible to swap the Toyota ecu for the Lotus ecu and actually gain the 10 hp and additional torque that the Lotus tuners achieved?

I thought it might be interesting.

Need to make sure they use same sensors first. Then how much you pay to get the ECU. Probably enough to get an Emanage or Power FC.

im still trying to know how they did change the ecu setting, cause as far as i know toyota guys cant chip/reprogram there ecu, unlike the honda guys who can just drop in a "hondata" chip.

The "chip" - EPROM is on the CPU inside the ECU. They are programmable. It take more work to take it out and make a board to program it. Also you'll need a copy of the original program cause you can't read the program from the chip. That is the hardest part.
