Turbo 22-RE

Ive been thinking of turboing my 85 Celica Gt. The motor has been built so it should be able to hold around 10 lbs(Im Hopeing).

Has anyone done this? Or know someone who has. If so were there any problems.

Thanks,

TRD22-RE

the biggest issue with biulding hp in a 22r is hardware. if you upgrade to ARP rod bolts and head studs that will go a long way to hold it togather.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. Dad wants me to run 8 PSI, but another guy done the street that has a turbo 240sx is suggesting 12 PSI. Are forged pistons a must? The engine is bored to 2.5 liter btw.
