I've got an 89 GT with a 3 speed w/ OD auto tranny and it's got a problem that I hope isn't costly. If I push the pedal to the floor and accelerate rapidly, it jurks forward when it shifts to the next gear. If I let off the gas right as I think it's going to shift, it shifts rather smoothly into the next gear. Is this normal, or do I need a new tranny? Could it just be the motor mounts or is it something more crucial? If you know, help me out plz!! Thanks a ton!

Try new tranny oil.

Check the engine mounts, mine is manual but had a cluncking noise when changing gears... it turned out to be that 2 engine mounts where loose

Okay. I'm thinking it's just the mounts 'cause I got the tranny fluid changed out just last year and that stuff lasts forever. Thanks for your help guys.
