thanks for the info, i've been hearing that the Eibach + Koni setup is a good balance for street driving. But Konis tend to be a little on the high side unfortunately. Anyone know how Gabriel struts w/ VST are, durability wise?
My suggestion. Ditch the 86-89 Front upper strut hardware, and replace it with the 94-99 Strut mounts and top plate. Find at a junkyard or ebay. Then get the KYB AGX insert struts for the front and the KYB GR-2 replacements for the rear. For springs buy the aftermarket springs made for the 90-99 Celica, such as Eibach and Tein. The newer front upper mounts leaves you open to many different choices, the rear top mounts were not changed much from 86 through 99, but new ones wouldn't hurt. I have this setup myself and its a vast improvement. The upper mounts on the 86-89 were not as good in my opinion the bearings are definately shot after 15 or so years. Trust me. When you are all done, make sure you get a straight alignment. I prefer zero toe front and back with whatever camber comes from lowering not more than 1.5 inches. One inch seems enough with Eibach pro-kit. This makes for an excellent setup for road and/or track.

Wow really old bump indeed! Haha.. lots happened along the way, I went with KG/MM springs and KYB GR2s, they didn't last too long though... I ended up having to sell the car, but the new owner was t-boned within a week of getting it....
Still on the look out for good condition alltracs in Canada, but they are as rare as can be. Is ST162.net still up? Checked a few times and it seemed like the domain was suspended or no longer in use..
