Help me with my drum brakes!!!

Guys, I've got an 89 GT (3SFE) with front disk and rear drum and I replaced everything, including the drum itself, but I can tell that the shoes on the back are rubbing against the drum while I'm not braking. I adjusted everything as far back as I could, but they still rub. It was even kind of hard to put the drum on. They don't make noise, except a squeaking sound that repeats faster the faster I drive. Anyone know how to adjust them more, or should I just wait till they wear off to the point where they're not rubbing anymore? I know I replaced everything just as it was in earlier and didn't make any mistakes. Anyway, if you can help, I really need it. Thanks a ton!

It was just time to change them. I got them painted red so it'll look pretty cool when I get my custom wheels. They really did need to get replaced, though.

Is your handbrake tight ? You may want to slacken that off a bit from the handle adjustment. Other wise take it to a gargae and let them have a look, they have more experience with drums than most of us anyways, they do them on a daily basis, can't cost much for them to diagnose a problem.

takin it to a garage might not be a bad idea especially since it happened after you were changing the brakes....let me know how things turn out...
