Smile My 1991 Celica ST

I have a 1991 celica ST and was hopping if anyone would know if a 2.0 twin turbo (JDM ENGINE) would fit my celica and if I have to convert it into an AWD instead of keeping it a FWD. Also my Tranny has 183,000 will it hold the torque if not do I need to rebuild it

Read the all-trac conversion info before posting anything else.

4AGE or 3SGTE

Technically, you COULD swap a 3SGTE into yout FWD ST, but a more feasible swap, since the engine wont bolt up properly, is a 4AGE swap. You currently have the 4AFE engine, and it shares the same block with the 4AGE, unlike the 3SGTE which shares the same block as the S- Series engines, like the GT (5sfe) Either way you go, you are gonna have wiring problems, and its overall gonna be a tough job if you dont get an entire front clip.. not to discourage you from doing it or anthing, but its better if you are prepared for the amount of work involved..
