Racetech developments

Hi

This is interesting i guess...

A strange Carlos Sainz ECU From racetech developments..

anyone who has a clue??

1.- None of the Toyota ECUs has a RS-232 port, only the OEM connector plug.

2.- None of the Toyota ECUs have EPROM removable chips (the one in the pic is socketed so it can be removed to be reprogramed)

Conclussion: a custom ECU using the OEM housing modified by someone from Denmark (thats what DAEMARK in white letters mean)

Other than that I have no other clue.

Group A cars weren't tuned by TRD or Toyota, right? Maybe Racetech did it. Have you tried emailing them?

Nop... Group A were tuned a prepared by TTE (Team Toyota Europe).

Maybe the ECU belongs to an ex-rally car and that somehow found it's way into that CS

Ahh TTE, always forget about those guys. I wish TRD USA was half a serious as them.
