Anyone else have problems with dim headlights?

Alright, I've got an 89 celica gt and I'm having problems finding headlights that are bright for my car. I bought the brightest white lights I could get, but they're not even that bright. Are those diamond blue lights brighter? Anyone else have this problem, and, if so, let me know how you fixed it. I really need to know how to get bright headlights because mine are not bright at all and are hard to see. Please help me!!

Check if your alternator is still in good shape. A weak alternator can cause dim headlights. Oh... and those diamond blue lights are just blue. If you want bright... Silverstars are pretty bright.

Probably the voltage regulator on your car is abou to go.

I dont know about the ST16X but all ST18X have the voltage regulator integrated into alternator itself so maybe you'll have to look elsewhere.
