Can a 7th Gen Celica be had for under $10k?

I love the styling of the 7th Gen Celica. However at this time in my poor college career anything over 10gs is really out of my league. I was wondering if it is at all common to find one of these cars for under $10k or if it’s even possible to find one for around $7-8k.

Am I out of luck? Do the 6th Gens have any tuning potential?

Thanks
Jack

It either got major milage or problem if its under 10g. A good 6th gen is around that price range.
For good potential go fora 4th or 5th gen AllTrac/GT4. They come 200HP stock. 6th gen AllTrac is rare and probably cost more then 10g. You can get 4-6th gen GT/GTS and swap in the 2.0L 3S-GTE.
The 7th gen engine need $$$ to go fast.

i picked mine up for $11k (48k miles) from a college kid; i think it's more about keeping an eye out for a deal, or someone looking to unload it. granted, i needed to put about $500 into it (filters, air flow sensor, other assorted stuff), but it runs fine.

i picked up my 2nd gen all trac for 5800. if you live in the states, you won't ever find a 3rd gen (1994+) all trac for sale. on another note, i would love to put the 3sgte into a 7th gen. just for the hell of it.

Lets see... Toyota went from 3rd gen (1994+) to 7th gen (2000+) ??
I think you have the 5th gen and 1994 is the 6th gen, and no I do not believe they offered 6th gen all-trac in the states from factory. If it has 3SGTE engine in there its a swap.
