I finally found a replacement rear window for my hatchback -- took two years since Toyota and the aftermarket have given up (and cost $625). Went in for an emission test to learn that it needs a lot of work; all brake lines, transmission oil line and rebuild the wheel wells. Rust on the rad indicates it is not long for this world. Headlight motors packed it in long ago. There is now a disturbing engine knock (that was not there when it was parked after the window incident). New brakes all around 100 kms ago ($1200) and new starter motor ($400) about 1000 kms ago. It is no longer a repair situation but a "project". I've owned it since new, now has 150,000 kms. I have receipts for all parts and service since new and the original bill of sale. I love this car but as I've downsized I have no access to a garage or space to work on it.
Anybody seriously looking for a project or need parts? Car is in Kingston ON. White with power sunroof, dark blue interior (all excellent condition except parcel shelf) with leather trimmed steering wheel and shifter knob. Premium radio/cassette player. Shod in Michelin MXV4's.
