Canada Help

I have a 88 celica alltrac. Recently it has started to shake it is really noticeable between 60-80 KPH it is not the rotors or tires so i am thinking it is a driveline problem like a bad bearing on the drive shaft. Any ideas would be appreciated.

check the wheel bearings. to do this just make sure the car is off the ground (jack it up) grab the side of each wheel (individually obviously) one hand on each side of the tread of the wheel. and gently shake it back and forth. dont turn the wheel though. but if you feel play in the wheel ie. its moving without the wheel actually turning to either side, then youve got a bad wheel bearing. and i dont know if youve done it yet, but check the balance on the wheels, 9 times out of 10 this is the problem with vibrations at speeds of 60 km/h and up.

check the tierods too, they are the little rods that go to each steering knuckle that the brakes and wheels bolt to, once you have the wheel in the air, grab it at 3 and 9 oclock and tug on it, feel for loose play
