94 celi gt low geared

I have a 94 gt with the 2.2 and all I have on it so far is cat back exhaust. I was wondering why the tranny is so low geared? in 5th gear at 80 its at 4000 and tops out at 122. Is that normal?
I also want to start buying performance internals for a rebuild and want to stick with the 5sfe what are some good sights and name brands are good? Thanx

That sounds pretty normal... but 80mph at 4000 rpms isn't that bad of gearing... If you wanna start modding... check out 6gc.net for more detailed info. Just do a search and you'll probably find everything you need to ask has already been answered.
