Hey bros. What can you guys tell me about the Celica Supra. There is one for sale near me for $200. It runs decent for 200,000 miles. It has a decent amount of rust, the driver's side door is about ready to fall off, and the leather(or vinyl maybe) interior is pretty crappy, but other than that it's in pretty good shape. Are there any mods I could do to it(ie turbo)? Am I going to be able to get any parts for it or are they going to be waaaaayyyy too expensive to think about. Are there any exchangable parts between regular celicas or even a supra to a celica supra? What do ya think guys, is it worth it. I'm not a celica buff. Tell me what you know.

Peace

If the floors/trunk/fenders aren't rusted through, I'd grab it in a second. What year is it? 7MGTE swap is not out of the question for the Celica Supra.

It's an 85. a couple of places are rusted through (don't know about the floors). A friend told me about it, and I had him drive it for me. Today when I was in that town making furniture deliveries I stopped in quick and looked at it for about 45 seconds.

What do you mean about that %&*@# swap meet is not out of the question. For parts or what? Remember I don't know my celicas like I should.

Peace

Old School Supras aren't my forte, but being rwd and having lots of space in the front of the car, the option of swapping out the stock motor for an 86.5 - 92 Toyota Supra motor (7MGTE) is available. The motor is a turbo'd 3.0L inline six, torquey with broad low to midrange power. Its not the easiest swap but it would be the best in terms of a performance upgrade. You should pose the same question in the Supra forum or tech forum to see what kinda response you get.
