UK Very Rich 3SGE.....!

Hi,Can somebody with a lot more knowledge than me, put me in the right direction?
I have a uk 3SGE and I have just fitted a new head gasket.
Timing is correct on the belt and on the distributor.
The car starts fine and runs, but is running very rich all the time even when warm!
It throws rich black smoke out and hunts and backfires when revved and even at running temp I have pulled the plugs and they are sooty and black.I have jumped TE1 E1 and was getting a code 22 (Coolant temp sendr but I have replaced with new and no change.Could I have missed a vaccum pipe somewhere if so which one or could it be fuel pressure? The car was running fine before I changed the head gasket so it is something that I have put back wrong or missed,I would put it into a garage but you know how they sting you!Somebody please help.

Hi,How do you check if the sensor is reading low or high?
1990 ST 182 GT 2Litre.
I jumped TE1 E1 and counted the flashes from the check engine light.
Flash, Flash,pause,Flash Flash code 22.
Is there any other checks I can do on EFI using a digital voltage meter?
Thanks.

ok, go find a nearby shop that has alldata or shop key, have them print you the flow charts for the code and the wiring diagram for the engine sensors
