USA blowing tail lights

My 89 Celica keeps blowing the far left brake light bulb. I replaced the door with all the sickets etc, but it's still going on, any ideas? The price of bulbs is starting to add up....

If the bulb is somehow loose ? The vibration may cause failure. I would try to clean the socket contacts and socket ground and chassis ground point.

Everything is tight and clean. The bulbs are gray after they blow, the last one was actually cracked. When this happens it also blows the brake filament on the one next to it. Voltage seems ok.

In most cases if they are grey or white inside the glass it means it is drawing air (loosing its vacuum)

What # bulbs are we talking about ?? 1157 ?

What do you mean by "door" in the original post.

Yeah 1157 both longlife and cheapies. By door I meant the plastic piece that holds all the bulbs and their wiring, the one that snaps into the lens casing.
