The learning curve

Well this might be the last entry in my inquiries about my new clutch..

I got a new clutch installed on my 90 Celica gts, and I noticed that its MUCH easier to press down, however it seems to POP back up really really fast now, as opposed to before when it used to come up a bit slower. NOw, I've got this spring like action that flies up really fast, and therefore is really hard to drive when starting from dead stops.. It requires me to put a lot more effort into how must pressure I take off of the pedal when starting to drive, and it takes a Lot more brain work and paying attention to get it right.

My question is,, Is it supposed to be like this? Is every clutch different, and therefore it will take time to get used to this one? Also, will this clutch eventually break in, and not pop up so fast? OR maybe the mechanic did something wrong somewhere.. WHen I press the pedal all the way it feels like it is going over a small 'lump' toward the end of the travel... so when i release over this lump it springs back up....

ANyway, any input would be really appreciated!

when you push it down does it stay past the lump?

do you know where the clutch reservoir is, you could try adding more fluid.

the hump is normal, look for a big hobby horse spring under the dash on the clutch pedal, try it without the spring and see if you like it like that
