88 All Track Brakes
Help! We have an 88 All Track that we use for ice racing. Last year we noticed that the brakes were lousy and before the season started this year thought we would bleed them to correct the problem. The issue is that the pedal travels too far before they react. After pumping they seemed to be acceptable if not good but this isn't the best situation on a race track, even ice. We started the bleeding procedure and soon noticed that left side bleeders seemed to let a lot more fluid through them than the right. Next thing we noticed was that the right rear brake didn't even operate without pumping. When the brakes are pumped you can see bubbles at the rear of the master cylinder. The ABS has been disengaged and the previous owner installed new lines. Any ideas? Our first thought was a bad master cylinder but there are no leaks in the system. Is it possible that it's just air and we should just keep on bleeding? The fluid coming out of the bleed screws is cloudy and dirty!
Thanks
