86' gt motor swap

I Still Own My 86' Celica Gt, But Now I'm Thinking Of A Possible Engine Swap. I Was Wondering If Anyone Out There Would Be Able To Give Me Any Useful Info On Possible Replacements. If At All Possible, I Would Like Info Regarding Pricing, Availability, And Specs On Any Likely Replacements. Thanks In Advance For Any And All Help.

P.s. I'd Also Like A Little Info On Converting My Rear Brakes Into Disc Brakes.

OK, any s motor will be more powerful than the 2s, any 3sge, 3sfe, 3sgte will bolt in but your trans will hate anything much stronger than a 3sge or 5sfe, no turbos if you want to keep your trans in one piece, what ever you get you will need the motor, all the bolts, wiring, brackets manifolds and anything else that touches the motor including the ecu, I have heard that the 5s will bolt to the trans but the mounts are different

I would like to thank everyone here for helping me out. I only thought about the supra engine because I could get it for a bargain, but i had to step back into my financial reality. I still need help finding the 3sge engine; I went to about three junkyards yesterday, and none of them even had an intact engine. I don't have a vast amount of cash, and any help locating parts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,Blakhart.

the engine itself will be the easiest part, your gonna need all the wiring and brackets and all from 1 car, your auto is mech. shift so you might be able to use an ecu and harness from a 5 speed car. If there is a car with a 5 speed and the heads off it or something like that, get all the brackets, underhood harnesses and ecu and all the bolts and whats left of the motor. I think your going to need a flexplate and bolts from a 5s auto motor since yours has 6 bolts and the 3sge has 8 crank bolts if anybody can help this guy out, just jump right in, If your celica already has a 5 speed, your in luck, I am not very far away from you so I can probably direct you to some parts around here

Fredk, I am currently in the process of trying to purchase another celica gt. It is the same year and model as the one I already own, but it is a manual. It is in a little better shape than the one I'm in now, so maybe I can just upgrade it. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out.
