1991 Celica GT Turn Signal Issues

Quite the bizarre issue here..............

1991 Toyota Celica GT, and the turn signals will not function until the car heats up. Very strange. The headlights work, all other electrical works. The turn signals will finally function after the car has been running/driving for about 5 minutes. It is getting very cold here (Twin Cities), so I'm sure I will be dealing with this for the next couple of weeks (It won't be above zero again until Tuesday). I don't have a huge problem with any of this, as I prefer to run my car for a few minutes before leaving anywhere when it gets cold, however I would like to know if anyone has ay clues as to what may be the culprit. In warm weather, I had no problems whatsoever with the turn signals, and they work after the car heats up on cold days. FredK: Are you out there????

Thanks Much

Right on. I'm just not seeing how a faulty flasher would work when warm. I thought once they went out, that was it. This problem is intermittent. Oh well, I'll get over it. Perhaps I will roll the windows down and do the old-school bike turn signals with my arms!!
