I have a pondering Q , does any on know how to byepass the mass air flow, i purchased one from the junk yard and ripped it apart but could not figure out how to byepass it?????
3s-fe or 3s-ge? i'm not sure on an FE but on a GE you could switch the ECU and wiring w/5th gen ECU to switch to a MAP sensor. if you want more info you could also check out www.4gcelica.net, its a site completely for 4th gen celicas.

Reason: typo
cause the mass air flow sensor has asquare that is 2.5 by 3 inches and it is a huge piece of metal that needs to be removed to get more air into the intake, like the new celicas have a sensor that fits on the side of a round tube, mine has 2 doors it has to pass threw and that is restricting my air flow even w/ a super chager. it goes from this"0"to"[]"to"0" and the square part is really narrow compared to the tube>>>>>
nice wrs thanks for the intell, i didnt know u could switch with gen 5 ecu!!!
yeah i'd do it, but i got an FE and it requires way more than it does w/a GE. check out that site and send an IM to the owner of the board (Jeremy) for more info. he knows a lot more about the swap than i do. BTW what engine you got?

5S-FE is MAP. FE intake manifold won't fit GE head. You'll spend some good time playing with the wiring harness to match all the sensors.
Like I say try a 3S-GTE MAF.
