I have a 1991 Celica GT automatic. When i am driving the car the RPMs rise above 3000 and dont come down. Its starts after 40mph. Its like i goes to 3rd gear and wont turn it to fourth. The car start to tremble also when am driving. Does any one Know what is wrong with my car and what should i change. Please help Thank you

Overdrive and tranny problem. Get a mechanic to check it out.

have you changed the fluid and filter?

I changed the fluid and filter. This problem started after I was driving the car at 90mph when it just stop accelerating on me . I took it the mechanic and they said it was some electrical problem they fixed that and now the car starts but it has the problems with the rpms.

your first real problem is that it is an automatic.
