USA 90 celica 5sfe to 3sgte swap

I have a 90 celica gt with the 5sfe motor. I know someone with a 92 celica gts with 3sgte motor that was totaled from the side. he will sell it to me for $750. is it a good deal. I have read up on the swap. with a complete donor car, will i have to buy any other parts to make the swap. I plan to use my manual tranny from the 5sfe until it pops.

o yeah, i am new to mechanicing.

i am conserned about the tranny. I have read a lot about the different options. mine off the 5sfe has 220,000 miles. if i had it rebuilt, would it last for a while with the 3sgte. and if i do have it rebuilt, should i do it now, or when it breaks>

Yea I got one too, what's your problem
90-93 GT GTS come with 5S-FE.
If you run stock power with the 3S-GTE, the tranny should last a long while.
