USA Hks Sld for 94 celica gt

Anyone know if I can install a HKS Speed limit defencer Type1 in my 94' celica GT engine 5F-SE 2.2l
I allready have the part I just want to see if it will work Ive got my car to 126MPH I want to see this sucker go the full 150MPH I dont have any modifications Ive been thinking about getting the Greddy SP1 exhaust. also a air intake. Im not to sure on what Air intake I should get. and will that add any HP to my car ? then I know a place that will custom make Racing pistons for about 145$ I want to add strong parts into this car so one day add a big Nos Tank. I want a nice Camshaft set. Ive looked but its not easy finding after market parts for a 94 celica Gt.

Before you start spending money on cheap add-ons think about long term. You want more power get rid of the fuel effecient engine first. A 3SG series will bolt in and wake it up. Little more you say? How about a V6 swap? There's also the 3SGTE...

Heheh... this is funny...
You're gonna need a bit of power to go 150 mph... why you wanna go that fast is beyond me... but yeah. FYI, 200 hp RSX-S can't even do 150 mph...

I love the speed man. You get on these minnesota back roads and they go for miles. and most towns have one cop only to come around when they get a call. Im not sure what a 3SG series is sorry.

3SG series is that like the GT-4 engine ? I bet there are more after market parts for that huh? insted of putting all my money on parts that would only give me a little hp gain for the 5F-SE it would it be almost cheeper to put a new engine in? then I would really have fun with the HKS SLD
what is the better 3SG engine I see 4 types

I'm using a JDM gen2(~240hp) 3SGTE.
The 3SGE has a different head and pistons than the turbo'd 3SGTE's. The non turbo prolly makes more low end torque, better for getting off the line and on mountain areas. The turbo can have the boost turned up and make serious horses. Any of these will bolt to your transmission, though the 3SGTE will shorten the transmissions life. The turbo head was made by Yamaha.

Im no mechanic but from your thread it looks like it could take years if your not a skilled mechanic? I would have to bring it to the car garage Im sure that wouldnt be cheep at 70$ a hour. I see a 3SGE 3rd gen 2000cc Japanese engine for like 1,000$ I dont know if that US currency . What is the shipping on these things ? and how do I find out what engine will fit in my car.

Believe it or not, this is my first FWD swap and my first import swap. I've never had anything to do with a turbo nor fuel injection. Pretty much I'm looking at other swaps online and going for it. Also nobody at my shop has ever dealt with a performance import. I'm using some common sence and something else I have very little of, patience. The biggest hold back has been the drivers side axle. I am good with wiring! My dad cut/welded the frame and has helped along the way in any way I've asked.
Why did I decide to do this?
On the way home one day a crx showed me how fast a vtec could be. I was in awe. I went out and bought a crx to build and a parts car, like in 2 months. Then I found this tercelonline.com place...talking about 4EFTE swaps. Turbo'd tercels, eatting swapped civics. I was intrigued. I have never been one to follow the masses, in the domestic world I was/still am, pro MoPar. However the swaps these guys are talking about is a 1.3, smaller engine, from a 1700lb car, lighter than a terc. "That's not the way to hotrod something" I thought to myself. You're supposed to get a larger engine, from a heavy car, to hotrod something. So I started a search, and found that a 2nd gen 3SGTE was about the strongest 4banger toyota offered. Since I figure it's going to take about 300whp to make me happy it makes better sence to me to start with an engine with a stock rating as near as possible to the goal. Spend the money to make that fit, rather than spend on an engine that bolts in.
I've never had an engine shipped so I have no clue as to the price. http://jarcoinc.com is in my state so I pickup anything I need from them.
Any S series engine should bolt in. You'll need the proper ecu and harness for whichever engine you choose.

so I could almost do this by my self in my home garage with some bubble gum and spit. I mean if it will bolt in. it would be like a big snap together model car only with more then 250hp. I only have about 2,000$ that should be enuff for a engine. I was going to put all that into my US celica GT. Im glad I didnt now

Everything won't be a simple bolton. If you don't have any mechanic skills then I'd suggest you to take it to a shop. Even if you decide to do the swap yourself $2000 isn't gonna be enough. Theres a bunch of wiring and from the way it sounds, you'd better get a stronger tranny. I'm sure you're gonna be beating on that thing. An engine swap isn't for the inexperience. You'll need more than just the engine. You'll need everything that comes with it.
