Unhappy Drivers Door Handle not working

The power locks work, the key will unlock the door, but, the outside handle doesn't work, so I have to open the passenger door and reach across and open it from inside. what broke, and how do I fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Question We are having the same problem, and I thought

wow, my answer is here!!

but, sadly i see its not.

Power door locks locks all doors, all door handles open and close doors appropriately. With one problem.

Driver door cannot be unlocked with a key.

Any suggestions?

My first guess:
There is a wire arm that goes up to the door handle. It can come loose or become obstructed - it's held in by a small "C" clip to the back of the door handle. This happened to me once and I found that the "C" clip had worked itself loose. The arm came out of its position, hence the door handle failed to operate.
My second guess:
The door lock solenoid is malfunctioning or bad/dirty connections. You'll have to take off the interior door panel to clean the plug connectors and/or test the power door lock solenoid.

When you turn the key, do you hear anything like a clunk or nothing at all?
Similar solution. Either the arm going to the unlock latch is gimped up or it's the door lock solenoid malfunctioning and/or bad connections. Take off the interior panel and clean the plug connections first, the test the door lock solenoid as per the BGB.
