Canada F5SE to 3SGTE conversion (no ALLTRAC)

Ok, this may seem like I'm continueing the beating of the dead (and now rotting) horse but bare with me. I want to swap in a 3SGTE but keep my F5SE tranny or use an MR2 tranny (if thats a dirrect swap). Is that posible? Am I going to have to re-wire the entire bay? or will the ECU\stand alone fit my current harness. Will all the sensors fit my wire harness. I have checked all the current threads and i couldn't find anybody doing this, specifacally.

Swapping the engine need ECU and wiring harness from that engine. Gotta get it from same car. Different year/car engine maybe different and use different ECU.
Stock tranny is a bolt on. MR2 tranny might need drive shaft.

Also do a search in Celica, camry and MR2 forum. Too much info to retype.

Also, the MR2 tranny will need the shifter cable linkage removed and one from a Camry tranny put on (it's on the wrong side).

Or, you can use the Camry V6 5-speed tranny.

Also, if you want that swap done, I can do it for you: drtweak@phoenixtuning.com

Stock tranny is alright unless you keep dropping the clutch at 5k. Most Celica GT with 3S-GTE use stock tranny. Anyway run till the tranny die then ungrade.

I say, if you have the cash you should do the tranny swap along with the engine swap. If you don't have the cash, then you can stick with your current tranny.

I suggest to go for the mr2 tranny while the motor is out.
you will save some money this way.
Im doing this tranny swap this spring so I can eliminate some of my traction probelms?
If you need an mr2 tranny I have one for sale.
Let me know.
