Great Runner.....Wierd Idle

I have a 1988 celica gt. For a while it has had troubles with idling. It used to stall after it was warmed up and the check engine light was always came on. I took it to a mechanic and had the codes checked and It turned out that I needed a throttle position censor and a coolant temp sensor.
Since those have been replaced the car ran fine ...for a while. I didnt drive the car for a month and when I came back and used it had the same hesitation the first day (give it gas and it would try to stall). One day this problem just stopped on its own. Now it is fine except for a few things...

---The idle is inconsistent:
When the car is warm sometimes it will run at 1200 rps or at 1000 rpms.
----The idle is "shaky":
The car tends to jump up 150-200 rms over the idle speed and then drop below it rapidly. The tach goes up and down and up and down.
-----The check engine light now stays on still giving me the same code it always has. Code 22:the coolant temp censor circuit. I replaced the censor however.
----Also, when I start the car in the morning it will stall the first time and the second and possibly the third(depending on how cold it is). However, it starts fine after being off for a few hours.

I am really stumped and these little problems are keeping my car from running mint.

Does anyone have any ideas???

yeah make sure you changed the right sensor. there are 4 sensors that deal with coolant . the on the the thermostat housing is for the fan. there are 2, 2 wire on the inlet and the guage sender on the bottom of the inlet

ohhhhhh about your start when its cold does the rpm jump up? if not maybe its the timer for the cold start injector coming on, or lack there of

mine does the irratic idle thing where it goes up and down. ive yet to figure that out. my idle is a bit high.. once again im not sure there. check your vacuum hoses specifically the ones to your ps pump. mine never shakes too bad unless the ac is on. make sure your motor mounts are ok

what's the normal idle for a 3s-fe? cuz mine goes to 2000 when cold and after warmed up sits around 1000-1200, but sometimes it drops down to about 600-700.

What is the timer for cold start injector?? Ive never heard of that...

Also, how do I know if my motor mounts are doing well? Do I just tighten them? or should they appear cracked or something?
