Should I get my head, intake manifold, and throttle body ported and polished before I start doing serious mods (already have intake & exhaust)? How much power will it actually get me? I'm looking to get the Burien turbo kit in a few months.

You should expect around 3-5 HP at the wheels. Its a very expensive mod, I'd probably do cams over a port/polish.

Well, first of all, I can get things ported and polished for not too much money cuz of a friend who hooks me up. But anyways.... Cams, eh? Where should I look to get those? How much power will I get out of different cams? I know that I will idle rougher, but is that the only draw-back? And how much would I be looking to spend?

depends on the motor. if the motor has good flow characteristics it won't benifet much from P&P such as the 2zz-ge motor which as very high flow. On the other hand the 1zz-fe benifets significantly from a P&P job 10-15hp at the wheels if done correctly. U also need to have the ecu reset or reprogrammed to benifet from any internal mod such as this.

What motor do you have?

What about the cams? Can someone expand on that idea? How much will I be looking to pay? And where can I find them?

WebCams wants $600 or so, they claim 25HP, which is realistic.

Thanks Deep, I'm planning on contacting WebCams sometime later this week, but while I'm waiting..... do you send in your stock cams, and they regrind them, or do they send you an entire new set?

That I'm not sure about, I'm pretty sure they said from new billets, but I may be wrong. BTW, stay away from regrinds, shimming is a bad thing to do.
