What years, and which engines come in 5g celicas? Is there a GT, ST, and GTS? Just wanting to get some info on the car...

The U.S. spec 5th generation (90'-93) Celica's usually came with the 5S-FEmotor for the GT and the GT-S models. The ST I am not too sure about. I know that either the 7A-FE or the 3S-FE motors are in those ST's. All these engines have great reliability and good low end torque but most consider these engines not good for serious racing. There is the 3S-GE and the 3S-GTE motors which come from an All-trac Celica or an MR2 turbo. These engines are sought after for engine swaps into Celicas and Camrys. They carry more horsepower and the aftermarket list on this engine almost never ends. Thanks. I already have a 6th gen, but I'm just trying to convince a friend to go with a Celica apposed to a Civic. I'll relay the info to him, and hopefully we will have a new member in the near future.
