My 3sfe engine just recently blew in my 88 Celica. I contacted a local junkyard that has a 3sge engine that I could put into my car. What all components do I need? I know the throttle body, computer, and wiring harnesses for sure. Do I need anything else? Fuel pump, new alternator, starter? Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to e-mail at ToFeelAlive@aol.com
Figures. lol. But I'm thinking about just putting in the 5sfe instead of another 3sfe. I have hook-ups around here for parts, so I just need to get the right stuff.
So far I've been told I need a new alternator, ecu, wiring harness, and throttle body.
Anything else anyone can think of that I would need?
I found a 89 GTS for sale, so I think I'm just going to pick that up and use the 88 for parts. I went to the junkyard, and they had 1 3sge engine, but it was missing the header . . . so I guess I'm pretty much screwed for that idea.
The 89 needs some body work, but I can take the fenders off of the 88, as well as the bumper, and just get a paint job done later on. Driving around in a half-black/half-blue car can't be but so bad, right?

any exhaust manifold will bolt to the head off any s motor, if nothing else get one for a 5sfe
I need some body and grill trim parts, what do you have?
The car I found is a 87 Celica GTS coupe, not the hatchback. Wanted to clear that one up.
And as far as extra parts, I have a ton. I have the grill trim (the gray part that says Celica across it), the grill, all fenders, all quarter panels, doors, trunk, pretty much anything you would need. I also have two extra strut bars. E-mail me at ToFeelAlive@aol.com and let me know what you need.
