wing brake light woes

I can't seem to find out how to change the bulb or fix my non working brake
light on the hatchback wing. I did not realize it was even there until I saw it on
another '91 gts. I don't see it in my Factory or haynes manuals.

I am not sure how to change it. mine has screws underneath tho, so I would assume that's the ticket there. not to hijack your thread, but my spoiler is loose. the center part, the part that is actually attached to the trunk is wobbly. how do I tighten that?

You shoulodnt have to replace it as it should be an long strip of little LED's. Its probobly unplugged. Take off the inner liner onthe hatch and look for the plug and/or mounting screws.

As for the looseness, ame thing, take off the inner liner and look for the mounting hardware, if its loose, tighten it, if not, then its just worn,

Welcome to my world.... my wing LEDs come and go and sometimes only a few do not light. I ruined the paint around the dang thing trying to pryit out with a screwdriver and cloth, suffice to say the screwdriver went through the cloth and scrached the paint around it.... and nope.... it didnt come off

Yeah that makes sense. I'll give it a shot.

You just have to pull the led red part directly back and it comes out. The problem for me is that the connector is in a ways and hard to get at. Perhaps if I could see up close I could get it loose and clean it but for now I just shot a bunch of electronic connector cleaner dirrectly on the connection. I'll check out to see if that did anygood when I get another person or go back into a 7 11 and use their window as a mirror.
I just stuck my fingernails behind it and wiggled it loose. Snaps right back in.

Today sometime later from my original post I noticed the light was working. maybe cleaning it did work an I just did not see it before or it works sometimes which would not surprise me either.
