Exclamation Overheating 83’ celica HELP!

Hello all, I have a REALY big problem with my celica overheating. It’s an 83’ 22RE celica coup. It has been overheating for a long time now despite my efforts. Here are a list of the things I have replaced on it to try and fix the problem. New thermostat, all the hoses , new radiator, new water pump, new fan clutch, new head piece (that was a fun job). It was running fine during the winter but now summer is coming on and it’s already starting to run hot again. I know it’s not the gauge because I can feel the difference in the heat coming off the block. I am at my end here I cant figure out what else it could be! Please help. ANYONE

when its getting hot, blast the radiator with a garden hose and see if it comes down real quick

are you going through water?

I blew a head gasket and ended up cracking the head. I put in a new one, so I know that water is going through the block. I have tried pressure testing my new radiator + the old one and flow is just fine as far as I can tell.

ok, lets start by going through a check list
when you idle it for a long time does it start to get too warm?
when you are on the interstate, does it start to get too warm?
you really need to find out the real temp of the motor
is or does it spark knock when it gets too warm?
what octane gas are you running?
does it seem to have good power at hi rpm?
does having the ac on make it warm quicker?

If I idle it for a long time YES it does get to warm
When im on the interstate it does not get as hot but I can still notice that it runs warmer.
it does not knock when it's hot.
I use regular unleded with no additives
it has good power at high RPM and at low,
Having the A/C on does make it get warmer.

ok, 22rs spark knock when they start getting hot, ok 1 of 2 things are happening here, your timing is so retarded that its making it run hot and not knocking or its not getting as hot as you think it is, get a good temp gage on it
