92 Celica GT won't move!!!

Hey all,
New to the board. Have a 92 Celica GT with 176,000 miles on original auto trans and 50k on replaced 5SFE engine. The problem I am having now with the car is that it won't move from park. The car will start up and idle fine, but when I go to put it into gear it will not move. The shifter will move throughout the gear range fine and the rpm's drop slightly when I move it out of park. The trans fluid is filled up to the level and is clean. I am not looking forward to replacing the trans on this car. Is there anything else I can check first before I start looking into replacing the trans? A Neutral safety switch, throttle position sensor, vehicle speed sensor, output speed sensor are some of the things I have been told to check, but I am not sure how to check them. Do I just start replacing items starting with the cheapest ones first???? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Chad

start by rounding up a couple jack stands, a floor jack and lots of tools, be sure the shifter on the trans is moving before you do anything

never throw parts at a car. don't do it. don't start cheap and end up replacing everything.
that's a bad plan, and thus ends my imput, as I know about automatics.
