90 celica gts manual gear shifter

anyone know of any good ways to lower the shifter on the car. it feels to me like i am shifting a truck.

Cut it if you're not worried about the thread, cut it like 1.5 inches or so, either that or get a short shifter

TWM makes a shortshifter for around a bill. If you wanna go custom, you can remove the lever and heat it up a bit with a torch wher the little ball sits and knock the lever down so the ball moves up. ONLY MOVE IT 2MM or so. then hack off an inch from the top. Voila, custom short shifter.

Daks, I'll show you the shifter in my car and you'll feel our pain. 1st to 2nd is about 7", no joke. They fixed it in 92.

I bought the TWM shifter and it is a great deal of relief shifting now compared to the stock shifter. Came with all the hardware but now i think they sell it for $115 + $15 for shipping. www.twmperformance.com
