Exhaust Qn...

Hi guys, was reading up on exhaust stuff and realise that FL doesn't have emissions check.. erm.. does that mean that i do not have to get a cat convert for my exhaust system.

ie to say, can i just run a straight pipe, from the d/p to the muffler... do u guys recomend that? will it be a tad too loud... i hate loud ass exhaust while driving normally.

aslo, right now i'm holding on to a apex 156-A003 N1 Universal Turbo 80mm inlet (Canister & 115mm Tip) universal muffler, bought from a fellow TN'er.

is there a good cat convert system that i can get to hoke up the muffler to.

thanx guys.

no emissions=no cat., If u do a straight through it'll be loud as hell. I took out the res. on my exh. system but left the cat. OBDII spec. 'cause it's cali. rules but it's pretty loud. I'm gonna get an aftermarket res. to put on soon.

Hey Homey, originally from Daytona! A1A monkey! Anyway, ur exhaust could still get u in trouble by FHP only if U get pulled. If ur gonna do exhaust , better to get a "Hi-Flo" Cat and go str8 pipe w/glasspack. Hope this helps.

Hi-flo cats prolly do add some emissions, but they are more likely to keep you out of trouble, U know , at least youd have one on there. Not a good idea to go without one on the street. Just askin fer trouble.

the apex exhaust that i have is a 3", do i have to make the d/p and the hi-flo cat converter 3" as well?

wld there be a signifigant power drop if i do not have a 3" piping throughout?

The spiral designs in the 2 are the best to get, magnaflow is good or ebay. U just have to get the pipe ported for the o2 sensor but if u don't have a cat. then it doesn't matter. If u go w/ the hi-flow cat. and res. then u have to remount the sensor back in. Do u have turbo Aaagogo?
