4th Generation A few 4th Gen questions

Since I'm looking at buying a 4th gen Celica GT-S with a 3SGE for Auto-X and possilbe hill climbs, I'm considering turbo as an option but I don't wanna go through the hassle of swapping in a 3SGTE. So my question is: How much boost can the stock internals of a 3SGE handle? I'm pretty sure someone here has done this before and I'm not looking to make high boost (maybe 9 psi intercooled at best). Also has anyone done a MAP sensor convertion and can ST165 performance parts (like strut inserts, coil-over convertions, swaybars, etc.) be installed in a ST162?

I would think the 3SGE would deal well with 9psi, because the G as opposed to F is a performance as opposed to economy head setup, and most people say stock internals on most engines will deal with 7-9 psi without major reworking/intercooling. as far as converting MAP sensors, etc... I dunno.

Also, wouldnt this put you into a highly modified/race setup class on Auto-X, wich could land you squarely at the bottom of the class compared to what you are playing with?

Just a thought.

Turbo isn't gonna be the first thing I do, but knowing me I'll eventually end up in the highly modified class (X I think). Plus I dunno how they'd work it seeing how I'd probly end up using an OEM turbo from a supra (I heard they match up to the 3SGTE flange and flow better than the turbos in the Alltracs). Dunno how much that'll be worth pointwise. I do know it'll throw me into the 3 - 4 liter class since adding a turbo doubles your displacement in terms of classing. But anyways I plan on tuning the suspension and a few N/A mods first till I fully get used to the car. But turbo is an option I'm considering. So does anyone know if performance mods like cams, bushings, coilovers, etc. from an ST165 or even the ST18x would fit a ST162?
