correct idle speed?

What is the correct idle speed for a 91 gts 5f-se? I can't find it anywhere. the plaque is missing in the engine compartment.
The idle has been dropping the past few days and is somewhat eratic too. I want to set the timing but well whats the idle supposed to be?
thanks, the hood is up and its getting dark.

Ok I figured it is 700rpm. here's one for you. My timing was off at 15' btdc instead of 10' like it should be. The only thing I can think of that I did was change the cap, rotor, plugs and wires. Would this change the timing?

generaly speaking NO the cap, rotor, plugs, + wires won't change the timing unless they are high performance, even then it would be extremely small. I have a 4a-fe so our motors are similar. im not sure if there is an idle adjustment screw. but it sounds like you may have a throttle positioning senser goin out. or you may have cloged injectors which would give the motor less gass making it lean which may raise the idle. i have a manual at home. i will check later tonight and post another reply

Did you short the diagnostic plug when you check timing? 15deg is good. Some advance for better power.

Yes I do short out the te1 and e1 or whatever the book says. I reset it to 10' btdc although I could not tell any difference.
I made a tube and rubber hose device to listen for leaks but have not found any yet.

In my manual it says there is an idle adjustment screw. it says to hook up a tachometer under the hood and that with the jumper in place, the rpm should be 650. it says that if it isnt right remove the cap and adjust the idle speed adjusting screw on the throttle body. if that fails it says your resistance on your (isc) idle speed control unit should read between 19.3 and 22.3 ohms between terminal +B and the other terminals (iscc, isco) good luck!!!
