Unhappy not getting fuel

I acquired a 1991 celica 5sfe. Was told the previous owner was driving at aprox 60mph when the timing belt went out. the vehicle sat for over a yr with nothing done to it. I took the vehicle to a shop. and they replaced the belt. however they advised me they where not getting fuel. when i when into the shop to observe the problem i noticed that the fuse panel was not grounded at the battery. i became frustarted and took the vehicle home. It will not start i did check the fuses in the panel and replaced the 15 amp efi and the efi main relay. not sure where to go from here. any advise would be great. thanks in advance.

Pull the back seat up and see if there's an access plate to the fuel pump. If yes check the wires for power with a test light. After sitting a year fuel may have gummed in the pump or filter.

you might also want to replace the fuel filter. It may have become gumed up after sitting with fuel in it for a year.

there is also a possibility that you may have moisture (water) in your tank. try a water remover like heet. also check that your injectors aren't clogged and they are getting power....

Fuel tends to get like gel with time and with temperature changes, so I would drop the tank and get it cleaned up, replace all filters and purge the lines
