Canada 93 celica won't start help

hey guys,

my celica doesn't seem to start anymore. Here is what happened. I was driving home from a body shop and came to a red light, light turned green so i eased off the clutch and went to give it gas and nothing happened. The RPM's were dropping from 750 and eventually the car shut off. I went to start it engine keeps turning but won't fire. I got the car towed home and took a look at it the next day. It looks like i get gas since my spark plugs are all wet and i tested to see if i get spark which i do aswell. I'm not sure where to go from here any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

i haven't checked if it's turning. I opened up the valve cover and saw the valves moving. I'll take a look

little update. i chked for spark at each wire and one of them seems to be shorted. I have replaced them with an older set and still nothing. I also replaced the cap and ignition coil with one of out a working car and still nothing. Not sure what to check now.

Mine did the same thing. What happened with mine was the idle pulley screwed up and threw the belt off a few teeth. While i put a new belt on i also took the air conditioning belt off,The car runs better and i get slightly better acceleration times and better fuel economy
